Oasis Dominates 2023 Docks Expo

BALTIMORE, Dec. 19, 2023 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ — Oasis, a leading marina and hospitality partner with over 55 marina properties, is proud to announce Lighthouse Point Marina was named the Marina of the Year by Marina Dock Age at the 2023 Docks Expo in Nashville. Additionally, Rob Schnabel, business development manager at Oasis, and Leigh Diemert, general manager at The Wharf Marina, managed by Oasis were honored with the ‘Young Leaders’ recognition.

Each year, Marina Dock Age honors two marinas, one small, less than 250 slips, and one large. Lighthouse Point Marina’s recognition as the 2023 Marina of the Year for the small marina category underscores the exceptional contributions of Oasis Marinas, such as the recent multi-phased revitalization project. The first phase of the project, which was completed this year, includes fully encapsulated floats, epoxy coated extruded steel piles, pvc non-slip decking and aluminum gangways, key fob access and the introduction of Drift Bar.

The ‘Young Leaders’ awards recognizes the outstanding achievements of Oasis’ rising stars. Both Rob and Leigh have demonstrated exceptional leadership, innovation and commitment to driving positive change within the industry. Leigh has dedicated her entire career to the maritime industry, starting as a mate on fishing charter boats at the age of 14. Today, Leigh seamlessly blends professional expertise with her personal hobbies, elevating standards at The Wharf Marina. With a family deeply rooted in boating, Rob developed a passion for the maritime industry at a young age. He first joined Oasis Marinas as a marina service associate at National Harbor and then transitioned to the business development team where Rob boosted the team’s lead-generation efforts drastically by creating a new standard operating procedure.
